The US Capitol
Released on September 9, 1994, this coin was authorized to commemorate the U.S. Capitol’s Bicentennial and to pay tribute to its architectural magnificence.
This proof quality curved coin is .999 silver and is surrounded with a custom made bezel. It is hung on a strand of large, high luster freshwater pearls. The pearls were carefully selected for their luster and are available in a round or irregular shape with or without an accent pearl hanging from the toggle clasp. All the findings are sterling silver. The total length is 19”-20”
The obverse design of the coin features a view of the Capitol Dome. A ring of thirteen stars, which represents the original states, encircles the Statue of Freedom. The reverse of the coin features an eagle, shield, and American flags.
